- GhostBuster is a commodity for use with WB3.5 and WB3.9, which is useful for people
- who use their CD-ROM drives regularly for playing audio CD's, or use
- MS DOS formatted disks.
-
- When a Music CD is inserted, or a floppy (with CrossDOS, fat95, etc),
- the Workbench will show two icons, one of which is ghosted. This may
- be a bit unsightly to some people, and to hide this icon, you can change
- the Workbench preferences to hide the icons of these devices. This is
- fine until you remove these disks, and insert, say, an AACD. To see the
- icon again, you must reset the preferences back. I find this to be a bit
- annoying, so I created GhostBuster, which will only show the icons of
- valid disks.
-
- This is version 2.1.
- I have fixed a minor bug that appeared in both preferences programs, where if a
- device was not mounted, but was present in the preferences list, and a disk was
- inserted, a requester would pop up, asking for volume (device name) to be inserted.
-
- I have also added a new feature for OS3.9 users. The titlebar option has been
- changed, and now has a third option, where the titlebar will pop up when the mouse
- is at the top of the screen, and remain hidden when it isn't.
-
- Finally, a some users have been sending me catalogs, and one person sent me a
- really nice icon. Included are a new icon, a German catalog file, and a Spanish
- catalog.
-
- V2.0 featured replacements for the Workbench preferences
- programs that come with Workbench 3.5 and 3.9. Also included is a utility for
- users whose first language is not English to create their own catalog files for
- their preferred language.
-
- I have included the source code in this version (note: this was pre-OS3.9 NDK coming out).
- It's written in C, and was originally compiled using DICE. Some alterations may be
- required to compile it with Storm or vbcc.
- I've also included a fixed version of the catalog compiler.
